You are an energetic, fun, ethical, and collaborative therapist. You may be pre-licensed and need the support of reflective supervision from one of us or you may be independently licensed and ready to continue learning and collaborating with our team.

You can complete diagnostic assessments, collaboratively create treatment plans, monitor progress, follow applicable laws and ethical guidelines, and complete documentation in a timely fashion.

Bonus points if you are willing to work with young children (ages 3-8) and have experience with or be willing to learn how to do DC:0-5 assessments. We have a high value for play therapy modalities and look forward to working with other playful folk.

You will manage your own schedule, communicate directly with your clients regarding scheduling, and the intake process. We work together on this and in all things related to our practice.

Since we mostly work with kids, we know that they get sick and have field trips, so you won’t be penalized for cancellations. We just ask that you schedule at least 25 direct client hours each week to maintain full time employment.

You will be compensated under a guaranteed base rate and offset commission structure.

• You will be paid a guaranteed base rate of $13.00 per hour for all hours worked.

• The $13.00 per hour payment is an advance against the your 55%-58% commission earnings and is not paid in addition to the commission. **Percentage is dependent upon experience/qualifications)

• You will earn 55-58% of payments actually received by Playful Healing for client services rendered.

• For each pay period Playful Healing will use its electronic health record (EHR) and related payment/collection records to determine the payments actually received and allocated to you for services rendered.

• Your commission will be calculated based on the payments actually received and allocated during the applicable pay period.

• The $13.00 per hour base payments made during the pay period will be credited toward your commission earnings.

• If your commission earnings exceed the total $13.00 per hour base payments advanced during the applicable pay period, you will be paid the difference.

• If your commission earnings do not exceed the base payments advanced, you will retain the guaranteed base payment and will not be required to repay or reimburse us for the difference.

• You will receive no less than the applicable minimum wage for all hours worked, as required by federal and Minnesota law.

• Compensation will be paid bi-weekly by direct deposit.

• Commissions are considered earned when the applicable client payment has been actually received by Playful Healing and allocated to you pursuant to the our payment and collection records.

Compensation Example:
If you work 25 hours during a pay period, the guaranteed base advance is $325 (25 hours × $13.00). If Playful Healing receives and allocates $2,000 in payments for your services during that period, your 58% commission is $1,160. The $325 base advance is credited toward the $1,160 commission, and you receives an additional $835. Your total compensation for that period is $1,160, not $1,485.

• You set your own schedule and hours, subject to client needs, scheduling requirements due to shared office space, supervision requirements, and applicable company policies.

• Full-time employment for this position requires a minimum average of 25 clinical hours scheduled per week.

• You are responsible for accurately recording all hours worked, including required administrative, training, meeting, documentation, and other compensable work time, in accordance with company procedures.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

You will receive 80 hours of paid time off (PTO) annually.

PTO, other than leave required to be paid under Minnesota’s Earned Sick and Safe Time (“ESST”) law, will be paid at your average hourly rate for the immediately preceding quarter.

The average hourly rate for this PTO benefit will be calculated by dividing your total compensation earned during the immediately preceding quarter by the total number of hours worked during that quarter.

If you have not worked a full preceding quarter, the Employer will calculate the applicable PTO rate in accordance with its PTO policy and applicable law.

Holiday Pay

You will receive 6 paid holidays annually.

For holiday hours that are not required to be treated as ESST, holiday pay will be calculated using your average hourly rate for the immediately preceding quarter, as described above for PTO.
