Play Therapy
We specialize in providing play therapy services to children ages 3-12 years old. We offer directive and non-directive play therapy modalities including Somatic Experiential Play Therapy, Trauma Play, Child Centered Play Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy.
Individual Therapy
We provide individual therapeutic services to teens (ages 12+) and adults. EAch practitioner draws from a range of modalities including cognitive behavioral, somatic, internal family systems, and mindfulness based strategies.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a technique with a goal to help people heal from trauma and other distressing life experiences. Sara Kennedy has completed the Level I EMDR training and is on track to become an EMDRIA Certified Provider.
Parenting Support
Parent support is an integral part of the healing journal for children and adolescents. Parents are supported through frequent parent sessions to discuss concerns, enhance parenting skills, and to provide support and encouragement.

Overview:
The group operates with rolling admission format with new group members potentially being able to join approximately every four weeks during the orientation/mindfulness modules.
Parent Involvement:
Parents are required to attend group parent sessions to learn the skills their children will be learning in upcoming modules and discuss strategies to support those skills with other parents.
Payment Options:
Playful Healing accepts most commercial insurance as well as Medical Assistance and most PMAP plans. However, it is up to each client’s family to confirm with their insurance that they have coverage for group therapy. Self Pay and a sliding fee scale are available options. Referral Process:
If you are a current client of Playful Healing, we will have all the diagnostic information we need to register you for this group.
All other clients will need to be referred by their current provider. Please fax a release of information as well as their most recent diagnostic assessment to faciliate this process. Our fax number is 833-466-1813
If you wish to have your child participate in this group and they do not have a current provider, we are happy to help you work through that process. We can complete a diagnostic assessment and connect you wtih a provider in our agency or refer you to an individual provider in our community.
